News of the Sons of Temperance Friendly Society
Established for over 150 years, the Sons of Temperance has had an outstanding record of service in providing friendly society saving plans and life insurance exclusively for teetotallers.
- The society has been actively considering its future. Meetings have been held with our actuary and with the Financial Services Authority.
- The Sons of Temperance Friendly Society has ceased the effecting of new business. Existing policies remain in force and members may be assured that their contracts are guaranteed.
- We are having discussions with another friendly society to whom we may transfer our residual long-term business. Ultimately the transfer has to be approved by the Financial Services Authority.
- In due course those members for whom we have current addresses will be notified of future arrangements. Do we have your current address?
- We will be continuing, and enhancing, our social, fraternal and educational activities.
